dMeter was founded by T.R. and Avano from the money they raised from GR13, Shamba, Astral Protocol, and Athena Protocol
Summer 2022
Started our first pilot, a collaboration between Athena Protocol and Ogallala life to regenerate an area in the drought-ridden Texas panhandle region, implementing a FOAM mesh for gathering a variety of IOT enabled data streams
Winter 2022
Designed our first working and governance structures, using structures inspired by sociocracy. Created a dMRV governance token and distributed it to core leaders.
Won a Grant from Filecoin Green to work on decentralized claim resolution infrastructure in a partnership between dMeter, Regen Network, Silvi, Athena, and Eco Labs.
Spring 2023
Silvi + EcoLabs + FarmOS wins Filecoin green hackathon with Open Trees open source framework for storing tree data on co2.storage.
Planned: Finalize our membership structure, strategy, and working roles. Expand our governance to include dMRV community members, sponsors, and innovators.
Create the DeSci Circle to grow dMeter's network of scientists and facilitate the creation of science backed methodologies.
Begin developing dMRV data standards and storage conventions

First version of dMRV system that aggregates data from different tools, sells data for raw value or as backing for eco-credits, and splits the revenue from data among land stewards, dMeter, and tools used to collect and analyze data.
